Quiznos: What’s Vegetarian Editorial Review

Quiznos keeps one sandwich built specifically for vegetarians, the Veggie Guacamole Sub, plus enough customizable toppings to build almost anything else around cheese and vegetables instead of meat.

What to order at Quiznos

The Veggie Guacamole Sub comes toasted on a baguette or grilled on the flatbread Sammie, packed with guacamole, melted cheddar and provolone, black olives, cucumber, mushrooms, green peppers, romaine, tomatoes, onion, and red wine vinaigrette. Ask for it without cheese to make it vegan. Guacamole, peppers, onions, olives, cucumbers, tomato, pickles, and jalapenos are all vegetarian and vegan on their own, so a fully custom sub built from bread and toppings is a real option too. The Fresh Garden Salad and Classic Italian Salad work with vinaigrette dressing, and Classic Tots make a solid vegetarian and vegan side.

What to watch out for

Every other sandwich on the menu, turkey, ham, steak, chicken, tuna, meatball, and the lobster and seafood salad subs, contains meat or seafood. The apple cider vinaigrette contains egg, so stick with the red wine vinaigrette if you’re vegan. Chili is traditionally beef-based, so treat it as a skip unless your location confirms otherwise. The Broccoli Cheese Soup contains both dairy and egg, and the Chocolate Chunk Cookie and Brownie are vegetarian but not vegan, since both rely on dairy and egg. Quiznos’ own January 2025 allergen guide backs up the Veggie Guacamole’s short ingredient list, just milk and wheat, so it’s a safe order to lean on.
