Nick the Greek: What’s Vegetarian Editorial Review

Nick the Greek marks its own menu board with V for vegan and VG for vegetarian, so you don’t have to guess at this Greek fast-casual chain. Between falafel, hummus, a build-your-own Mediterranean Bowl, and a vegan-by-default Tahini Crunch Salad, vegetarians get real food here, not a plate of sides. The chain runs a build-your-own model at every location, so these swaps aren’t special requests, they’re printed right on the menu board.

What to order at Nick the Greek

Build the Mediterranean Bowl with falafel, rice, and kale, and skip the tzatziki and feta to keep it vegan. That bowl became the chain’s top seller in 2025, with sales up roughly 70 percent, so you’re not settling for an afterthought item. The Falafel Pita and Hummus with Pita are both easy, filling picks, and the Tahini Crunch Salad, one of the chain’s top-selling salads, is vegan as served. Fresh Cut Fries and Pita Bread round things out, and both are vegan too.

What to watch out for

Watch the default sauces and cheese. The Falafel Pita comes with tzatziki, a dairy sauce, unless you ask for it off, and the Greek Salad, Chopped Salad, Prasini Salad, and Greek Fries all default to feta cheese. Baklava and Froyo are vegetarian but not vegan, since both lean on honey, butter, or dairy. If a menu item isn’t tagged V or VG on the board, ask before you assume it’s safe.
