Reviews here come from real diners, not the restaurant and not us. Our own editorial verdict and tier come from our research. The reviews section below it is where you tell other vegetarians and vegans what it’s actually like to eat there.
What we ask of a review
- Write about your own experience ordering and eating there as a vegetarian or vegan.
- Be specific. “The tofu bowl was great” helps more than “good food.”
- Keep it civil. No harassment, slurs, or personal attacks on staff or other reviewers.
What gets a review rejected
- Fake reviews. If you did not eat there, don’t review it.
- Compensated reviews. If a restaurant, PR firm, or anyone else paid you or gave you free food to post a review, say so or don’t post it.
- Reviews written by the restaurant’s own staff or owners about their own restaurant.
- Spam, links to unrelated sites, or content that has nothing to do with the restaurant.
How moderation works
Every review is held for a quick human check before it goes live. We’re not fact-checking your opinion, we’re checking that it’s a real review and not spam. This can take a little time. We don’t edit review text; we approve it as written or we don’t publish it.
What we do with your rating
Approved star ratings are averaged into a community score shown separately from our own editorial tier and from third-party ratings like Google or TripAdvisor. We label each of these clearly so you always know whose opinion you’re looking at.
Something wrong with a review?
If you spot a review that looks fake, abusive, or violates the guidelines above, tell us and we’ll take a look.
