Playa Bowls is an easy vegetarian stop since the menu runs on fruit bases, smoothies, and juices, and most builds are vegan too once you swap out the honey and whey protein.

Playa Bowls: What’s Vegetarian Editorial Review
Playa Bowls is a bowl-and-smoothie shop, not a burger counter, so almost everything on the menu skips meat entirely. The bigger question for vegans is a short list of animal-based add-ins, not the food itself. Nearly every base, topping, and juice on the menu is naturally plant-forward.
What to order at Playa Bowls
The Acai, Pitaya, Green, and Coconut bases are all vegan, and so are the Oat Base and Chia Pudding Base. The green base blends kale, banana, pineapple, and coconut milk into a genuinely vegetable-forward bowl. Swap in the Gluten-Free/Vegan Granola and Orgain Plant-Based Protein, and add Agave Drizzle instead of honey, and you’ve got a fully vegan build. Fresh cold-pressed juices and most smoothie milk bases, coconut, almond, cashew, or oat, are vegan too.
What to watch out for
The Banana Base is the one exception to the plant-based rule, since Playa Bowls blends it with honey by default, so order a different base if that matters to you. Honey Drizzle, Bee Pollen, and Nutella all knock a build out of vegan territory, and the default Whey Protein add-in is dairy-based unless you ask for the Orgain swap instead. At select locations, Playa Bowls also serves poke bowls with fish or seafood, so don’t assume every bowl on the board is meatless just because the brand leans fruit-forward.
